VET2Sustain

Promoting sustainable, inclusive and digital Vocational Education and Training

Vocational education and training (VET) is an essential part of preparing individuals for working life. As labour market needs evolve and change, VET must also adapt to ensure that it remains relevant and effective in preparing students for the world of work of the future.

The main objective of the project is to make vocational education and training more attractive in Europe. To achieve this, a strategic approach will be developed to maintain a high quality of education and training. It will also ensure that digitalisation, inclusion, green transition and internationalisation are taken into account as core elements of VET.

The project aims to improve the quality of vocational training practices in line with labour market needs. It also aims to strengthen cooperation between VET providers, enterprises, organisations, national authorities and other stakeholders through the development of common professional competences.

VET2Sustain aims to:

  • To increase the attractiveness of vocational education and training in Europe.
  • To develop cooperation between vocational education and training institutions and the world of work in European countries.
  • To find ways to promote employment, vocational skills and qualifications in different European countries.
  • To create a strong forward-looking European network, creating a vision, strategy and action plan for stronger future cooperation.
  • Organise events such as workshops and meetings to reach out to students, employers, VET teachers and other stakeholders.
  • Create an online platform for VET practitioners.

Overall, VET needs to remain resilient, flexible and adaptable to ensure that it responds to the needs of a changing labour market. By focusing on digital skills, soft skills, lifelong learning, collaboration with employers, diversity and inclusion, VET can prepare students for the jobs of the future.
