Design Centre MUOVA is a research and development unit of Vaasa University of Applied Sciences. Since 1988 MUOVA has dedicated to support international competitiveness of companies through design. MUOVA focuses on design thinking, product and service design related to digitalisation, sustainable development and entrepreneurship. Muova’s excellence is in the combination of cross-disciplinary research and creative methods for supporting innovation and transforming business. MUOVAs multidisciplinary team consists of experienced experts and researchers in design, business and ICT. Our strong collaboration with companies, research and educational institutes takes place at international, national, and regional levels.
SERVICE DESIGN IN INDUSTRIAL SETTINGS
We are strengthening our industrial service design team with a new key person. We are looking for a project manager responsible for research, development and education projects related to industrial service design. The area is developing fast because of new technologies in VR/AR, AI, robotics, automation, sensor and satellite data, and multisensory user interfaces. Muova develops and applies service design to transform the technologies into innovations. Muova has created a VR-based prototyping environment for industrial services, which will be used in research, development and education activities (coprotolab.fi). This is a two-year fixed term position.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage projects related to industrial service design
• Apply for national and international projects related to industrial service design
• Develop higher education related to industrial service design
• Collaborate with RDI and business partners
QUALIFICATIONS
• Suitable Doctoral Degree
• Experience in project management
• Innovative, proactive and participative way of working
The negotiable starting date is 1st February, 2021. Apply by submitting your application and CV in Kuntarekry by 31st December 2020. A six-month probationary period is applied. Contractual salary according to the collective agreement.
